Also known as Kibber Trek
Overview
As an alternative to hiking within Ladakh, you can also travel from the region to the neighbouring state of Himachal. Tsomoriri to Kiber, a settlement in the Himalayan state, is a popular route. This walk will lead you to uncharted territories and the edge of the known world. From Rumtse Village, you can carry on to Tsomoriri, and from Tsomoriri to Kiber Village, you can use the Parangla route.

Itinerary
A relaxed day at the lake where we get to walk around this beautiful lake 24 Km long lake at an altitude of 4242 meters. During this season we get to see thousands of migratory birds gliding on the lake which include geese, duck while around the lake you can spot the resident species of white-winged redstart, robin accentor, Asian martin, white-throated dipper and finches
Today you will walk from Korzok to another end of the Lake with a few ups and downs. O/N in Camp
This day is again an easy walking on the flat ground to Nurboo Sumdo. Pass through spring (Chumik Sharte) and the campsite is a deep ground near the river and spring. O/N in Camp
If you camp at Nurboo Sumdo don’t forget to carry sandal with you for water crossing. O/N in Camp
This day is again straightforward walking along the river with on the rolling plateau before the Valley widens. O/N in Camp.
If you are in big group its ideal to camp at Kharsagongma as there is space for only a few tents. O/N in Camp
Cross the river immediate after leaving the Camp . As you walk upwards, craves become very narrow from where you can cross the glacier . O/N in Camp
It’s vertical walking down to the Parangchu and remains walking at the same level along the Paranghu to the east for sometimes before you take another exhausting Climb to Thangltak. Kibber is just another 3 hours walk from here. O/N in Camp
Take the straight trail towards east with gentle ascend. From the highest point you will walk steep down to bridge with a few zigzag trails. Cross the bridge and reach Kibber village. O/N in Guesthouse.
